Dua Lipa was born on 22nd august 1995, in London, the United Kingdom. She signed a contract with Warner Bros Records after a couple of years of work and dropped her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album peaked at the top spot at No. 3 on the U.K. Charts. There were eight songs released such as Be the 1 I.D.G.A.F., and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as the 6th most popular album. Lipa has won Brit Awards in 2018 for two categories: British Female Artist, British Breakthrough Act and British. In addition, her album's platinum certification is recognized throughout the world. Dua lipa was born the 22nd of August, 1995, in London in the UK to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. Her family tree can be identified back to the Kosovo town of Peja. Two of Lipa's grandfathers were historians. She has two siblings, Rina and Gjin. Lipa began to learn how guitar playing and sing from her dad Oda. He is the lead singer/guitarist of Kosovan's band Oda. When she was at the house, her father would perform his original compositions, along with songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa started singing around the age of five. The Sylvia Young Theater School was where she started singing when she turned nine. Lipa sang If I'm Not Got You from Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera for YouTube. In 2014 Lipa has signed a deal to Warner Bros. Records. The singer released her debut single New Love in August of 2015.
