Coleman is from Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for her A-levels. When discussing her character from Emmerdale, Coleman expressed regret for having not attended a university. Coleman worked with a group named In Yer Space at her school. The group was in the stage production Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. In addition to being awarded a prize for acting, the production it performed attracted a lot of attention. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was in auditions at the drama schools. It happened in 2005. Coleman won two awards in 2007. She won Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. The British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman in category of Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and the category for Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman is nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor after Arthur Darvill left the series she would play the role alongside Matt Smith. Moffat has decided to cast her in the role because she has the strongest chemistry with Smith. Additionally, she was faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the world of film since 1987. Eva has been more prominent on TV than in films. Eva has played a variety of roles on television, but two stand out: Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas' in CSI Miami. In the latter, she even received two nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards as well as gave her the chance to experiment with her talents in music. Apart from being an actor Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as an entrepreneur. Three times married, she has one daughter and a second husband.
